Throughout several years this program has gone through some modifications. One of which was basically the development of the module ACTOR a technique for character animation, for which Daniel Langlois a founder of Softimage obtained an Oscar for Engineering and Scientific Merit from AMPAS.Within this Module for the 1st time the community has experienced the light of Inverse Kinematics. Other modifications that had been introduced were the simulation and dynamics instruments. They were programs that gave the user capabilities to animate things via the movement of a mouse, sound recording and also the utilization of the system motion-capture.
